Some songs for the year

Because of my lazyness, here you have a resume of some of the most interesting songs of the year so far:

HOT CHIP - READY FOR THE FLOOR
OK, probably already fed up of listening to the song and watching the video. But saw them live last Friday and enjoyed it so much

HERCULES AND LOVE AFFAIR - BLIND
Antony in a disco anthem. Not a good idea before listening to the song. A strange but perfect marriage after listening to it

MGMT - TIME TO PRETEND

Psychodelia, Flaming Lips, and a strange look close to The Klaxons for a perfect pop song.

MORRISSEY - THAT'S HOW PEOPLE GROW UP
And Morrissey publishes his compilation number eight, but this time with two new tracks, at least. This is one of them

NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS - DIG, LAZARUS, DIG
They are back after the Grinderman lapsus. As biblical and strong as always

BLOOD RED SHOES - YOU BRING ME DOWN
Published some months ago as a B Side now it becomes a deserved single before the album comes out. Teenage rage.

NOAH AND THE WHALE - 2 BODIES 1 HEART
Another quirky home-made video for another happy-sad song.

ANNI ROSSI - WHEELPUSHER
Another folk girl, not with an harp or a guitar, but with a violin.

ALICE AND THE MAJESTY - I COULD LOVE YOU
Alice McLaughlin hidding behind her band.

YILA FEATURING SCROOBIUS PIP - ASTRONAUT
The beardy man did it again. Another infectious crazy dance song.

VAMPIRE WEEKEND - MANSARD ROOF
One of the bands with more "One to watch in 2008".

FOALS - CASSIUS
And the band with definetely more "One to watch in 2008"s

BAND OF HORSES - NO ONE'S GONNA LOVE YOU
A really beautiful song
